Congradulations on one month without smoking!

And I totally feel for you with the headache. Painkillers don't usually help mine either. =/

thanks, with all the crap that's going on in my family again now, it's been a very trying week continuing the non-smoking. but i have something spurring me on (the expectation of getting pregnant soon) to keep me going. :)

Oh that's great! No better reason to stop smoking!

If you're planning on a pregnancy I could suggest something that's not only really healthy for you but it's really helpful for childbirth.

Belly dancing! <3 It was created to aid women with childbirth, and I've heard it can be really helpful.
I'm taking a class right now acutally, it's hard work but it's really fun and it has made me feel great and healthier!

Just a suggestion, I thought I'd mention. <3

thanks, i'm always open for suggestions. i have a bellydancing DVD, it's Dolphina. i don't know if we have any classes in my area (damn living in the midwest. haha), so i can do a little bit. i also do a little bit of yoga at home.

it'll still be a little while yet, i'd like to drop a few more pounds first, and my pregnant little sister is moving in with my husband and i in December and will be here at least til the baby is born in April, so we think we'll probably wait until she gets her own place to start our own family, but it's not far off, and the longer i've gone without smoking, the better.

it's not too hard now, just when i get really stressed, or when we go out to the bar. even that, though, im dealing with pretty well.

thanks again for the suggestion. :)

thanks!! it was hard, but i halfway expected it to be harder. then again, i only smoked 5 a day on the days that i worked, and then socially, but on my days off, i didn't really smoke. so it wasn't like i was a pack a day or anything, but still, thank you very much, and i'm pretty proud of succeeding this far.

It only gets easier as you go along.I was a two pack a day smoker and once you lean to deal with the stress without lighting up its soo easy. You have to be ready too.

But YA!!

that's what everybody tells me. that once you get past that first 2 or 3 weeks and go through a major stressful event without smoking, you're home free. i hope so. :)
